The Benti Nenka processing site shares the name of the village (“Kebele”) it is located in. It's a sister site to Hambela Dabaye, shared by station owner, Kedir Hassan. This may sound familiar as we recently featured a coffee from Hambela Dabaye. Kedir has erected a few stations in the Hambela Wamena region, some producing both washed and dry process ("naturals") coffees, though Benti Nenka only produces naturals. Kedir and his community split bamboo reeds for constructing drying beds, so they're flat, sturdy and create even coffee layers.

This dry process lot is only made up of coffee from the small holders in the Benti Nenka area, whose farms span an altitude range of roughly 1900 to 2100 meters above sea level.
